Exploring the Best Places to Live in Rialto, CA

The purpose of this article is to explore some of the best places to live in the City of Rialto.  Rialto is located within a region of California called the “Inland Empire”.  The community is geographically located approximately 56 miles east of Los Angeles and 57 miles west of Palm Springs. With Palm Springs being so close to Rialto the residents find themselves frequently taking advantage of experiencing the unique opportunities the city has to offer.  For those Rialto residents who are not fans of Palm Springs, you can travel 52 miles to Temecula for wine tasting and live music.   

The City of Rialto is 22 square miles and has a population of 104,394 people.  Since 2000 the population has grown 13% each year.  Regarding the demographics, Rialto is known for its diverse population, stunning landscapes, and numerous housing opportunities. While California Real Estate prices are high, Rialto remains somewhat affordable compared to other cities in the Inland Empire.

 If you’re considering making this vibrant city your home, you might be wondering which neighborhoods are the best for you and your family. To help you decide, we’ve compiled a list of what we believe to be the best places to live in the City of Rialto.  We also explore unique amenities and lifestyles the community has to offer.

1.  El Rancho Verde:

The residential community located just north of Highland Ave. boasts a perfect blend of suburban tranquility and urban convenience. This neighborhood is highly desirable to people new to the area as it is known for its spacious new construction single-family homes, well-manicured streets, and family-friendly atmosphere. Residents enjoy easy access to essential amenities such as schools, parks, new shopping centers, and dining options. 2.  Las Colinas:

If you’re seeking an upscale and serene community, look no further than Las Colinas. Situated at the intersection of N. Riverside Ave and the Sierra Ave. corner of Rialto, this neighborhood features luxurious homes with modern amenities and stunning mountain views. The community of Las Colinas if fairly new as it was built in the year 2000.  Within Las Colinas, residents can enjoy access to exclusive community facilities such as swimming pools, fitness centers, and tennis courts.  Las Colinas is located very close to the 15 frwy which gives residents the ability to travel up to the High Desert for a quick getaway or to the City of Redlands to enjoy a day in the sun. The neighborhood’s convenient location near major shopping centers like Renaissance Marketplace ensures that residents have easy access to retail therapy and dining options. With its peaceful ambiance and tight-knit community spirit, Las Colinas offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

3.  Downtown Rialto:

For those who crave the excitement of urban living, Downtown Rialto is the place to be. This historic neighborhood is undergoing somewhat of a revitalization.  Many commercial buildings have been remodeled and repurposed to showcase the beauty of the city.  Downtown Rialto is located in the center of the city and is home to the Headquarters Fire Station, Police Department, Post Office and Civic Center.  Residents who live in the “Downtown “area can immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural scene by attending live performances at the Rialto Community Players Theatre or exploring opportunities to meet neighbors and grow vegetables in the community garden. With its walkable streets and easy access to public transportation, Downtown Rialto offers a convenient and cosmopolitan lifestyle for young professionals and creatives alike.

The Real estate in Downtown Rialto is older and the homes are smaller compared to the houses in North Rialto.  The average rent for a 3-bedroom single-family home in the area is $2,485. The average price to purchase a home in the area is $479,000

4.  Rialto (Anderson Park Area)

Just west of Rialto lies the charming community of Bloomington, known for its rural charm and affordable housing options. Here, you’ll find a mix of single-family homes, ranch-style properties, and spacious lots, providing plenty of space for families to grow and thrive. The neighborhood is home to several parks and recreational facilities, including Bloomington Park and Veterans Memorial Park, where residents can enjoy picnics, sports activities, and community events. Two of my favorite golf courses near Anderson Park area is the Colton Golf Club and Fairmount Park Golf.  With its laid-back atmosphere and close-knit community spirit, Rialto offers a peaceful respite from the urban hustle while still being within easy reach of Rialto’s amenities and attractions.  The Anderson Park area is located near the 10 frwy which gives those who reside in the area the ability to quickly commute to other areas throughout the Inland Empire. 

The Anderson Park Area of Rialto is older and the homes are smaller compared to the houses in North Rialto.  The average rent for a 3-bedroom single-family home in the area is $2,796. The average price to purchase a home in the area is $520,100

5.  Rialto South:

Located at the 10 Frwy and S. Riverside Ave Street, Rialto South community offers a suburban oasis with a touch of small touch of luxury. This old-fashioned neighborhood features elegant homes, neat communities, and pristine landscaping, creating an ambiance of exclusivity and sophistication. Residents enjoy access to excellent schools, wonderful shopping centers, and fine dining establishments, making it an ideal choice for families and professionals alike. This neighborhood is an excellent choice for first time homeowners and young families.  The majority of homes in the area were built between 1970 and 1999, The neighborhood’s proximity to Loma Linda University Medical Center and other healthcare facilities also makes it a desirable location for healthcare professionals and students seeking proximity to work or school.
